If you want to create a product that folks will keep, then accurate liner notes and comprehensive credits have to be included with the album. The liner notes should indicate who plays on which tracks, who wrote the music, when was it recorded, what the leader is trying to accomplish with his album, and how it relates to the leader's past and projected projects. All too often, liner notes are thrown together too quickly and pertinent information is left out.
